Conventional lab tests can’t always be relied upon to tell what’s really going on in the body. That’s why Infinity Health Centre offers specialized lab testing to provide results that are unique to one’s body and healthcare needs. Here are some examples of the types of tests we perform.

120 IGg Food Sensitivity

Food sensitivities are abnormal responses to a food component triggered by the immune system, that gives either an immediate or delayed response. Food sensitivity testing helps uncover trigger foods and results are used to create an individualized nutrition plan that is suited for better health and well-being. To learn more, click here.

Adrenal Check

The Adrenal Check Test measures the levels of cortisol, the stress hormone, and DHEA, which is responsible for adrenal gland function. Cortisol is the main hormone that keeps the immune system in check and regulates overall health. These hormones may play a role in fatigue, depression, anxiety, interrupted sleep, and difficulty concentrating. To learn more, click here.

Male Wellness Plus

The Male Wellness Saliva Hormone Panel measures the same hormones as the Adrenal Check test, plus other hormones pertinent to men’s health including testosterone and estradiol. Around age 40, the levels of testosterone begin to decline. While being a normal part of the aging process, decreased production of testosterone can be greater in some men than others. This is often worsened by stress, lack of exercise, excessive weight gain, and other factors. To learn more, click here.

Female Wellness Plus

The Female Wellness Saliva Hormone Panel measures the same hormones as the Adrenal Check test, plus other hormones pertinent to women’s health such as progesterone, testosterone, and estradiol. Women of all ages can be affected by hormone imbalance and those who are still menstruating may experience premenstrual syndrome, mood swings, anxiety, painful periods, and infertility. Organic Acids / Metabolic Snapshot

The Organic Acids Test gives an accurate metabolic snapshot of what is going on inside the body based on a comprehensive assessment of 74 unique urinary metabolites. Organic acid testing evaluates yeast and bacterial overgrowth, vitamin and antioxidant levels, fatty acid metabolism, neurotransmitters, inborn errors of metabolism, mitochondrial function, detoxification, and oxidative stress. Comprehensive Stool Analysis With Parasitology

The Comprehensive Stool Analysis with Parasitology test can help pinpoint how well the digestive system absorbs and functions by assessing the status of beneficial and imbalanced commensal bacteria, pathogenic bacteria, yeast/fungus, and parasites. To learn more, click here.

Zonulin Blood Spot

Zonulin (pre-Haptoglobin 2) is a protein that modulates the permeability of tight junctions between cells of the digestive tract wall. It is used as a screening test to evaluate for intestinal hyperpermeability (“leaky gut”), which occurs when the gut lining becomes abnormally permeable, allowing bacteria, food, and other large molecules to pass through. Intestinal permeability changes due to Zonulin have been implicated in many diseases and dysfunction, notably in Celiac Disease and Type I Diabetes, but also in others including the brain, respiratory system, and skin.
