Sukhman is a Resident Physiotherapist proudly providing client-centred physiotherapy care to patients across Downtown Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). She offers services in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, making quality care accessible to Toronto’s diverse communities.

Her passion for physiotherapy began through her own rehabilitation journey following knee surgery. Working closely with a physiotherapist inspired her to enter the profession and help others return to the activities they love. Sukhman completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McMaster University in 2023, followed by her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster in 2025.

Most recently, she completed her Level 1 certification in NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) — an advanced approach used to assess and correct dysfunctional movement patterns, helping patients regain mobility, improve function, and reduce pain.

Sukhman takes a holistic and evidence-based approach to care, blending targeted manual therapy techniques with individualized exercise programs. Drawing from her background as a lifelong athlete and competitive powerlifter, she emphasizes movement as a core pillar of recovery. Whether you live or work in Downtown Toronto, the surrounding neighbourhoods, or elsewhere in the GTA, Sukhman is committed to creating personalized treatment plans that empower patients to achieve real, lasting results.

When you work with Sukhman, you can expect a welcoming, positive, and inclusive space where your goals come first. She combines clinical expertise, patient values, and the latest research to deliver comprehensive, results-driven physiotherapy care.

Outside the clinic, Sukhman enjoys baking, reading, working out, and exploring Toronto’s vibrant food scene.

He has been serving the downtown community since 2006 and has been instrumental in increasing access and reducing wait times by implementing the advanced access scheduling system (now endorsed by the Ontario Medical Association). He is a strong believer that increased access to medical care – especially increased access to your family doctor – results in better health outcomes for the patient and community.

In addition to improved access, Dr. Sharman has enhanced patient care by promoting a collaborative environment at his clinic. Through his extensive knowledge and experience, his patients have benefited through Dr. Sharman’s “team approach” to care with other health professions and specialists.

When not in the clinic, Dr. Sharman travels nationally and internationally for media appearances for his medical information website he co-founded and is dedicated to making medical information more personally relevant and accessible on the Internet.

In addition to Family practice, Dr. Sharman has done extra training in the areas of sports medicine and cosmetic medicine. He is available to his family practice patients and can also be booked on a walk-in basis for medical and cosmetic appointments.
