Elizabeth is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She is also a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals. Elizabeth has her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto.

Elizabeth has worked with diverse populations experiencing a wide range of concerns. Her background in mental health includes university counselling centres, youth homeless shelters, non-profit agencies, crisis centres, and employee assistance programs. She has extensive experience supporting individuals with trauma, abuse, conflict resolution, emotion regulation, substance-use, academic or work-related stress, criminal justice involvement, anxiety, interpersonal skills building, and relationship issues.

In order to best assist her clients in pursuing their goals and personal potential, Elizabeth works from a variety of therapeutic modalities in an eclectic but intentional way. By doing so, she creates a personalized approach for every client to meet their unique needs, pace, and strengths. Elizabeth primarily works from Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), Interpersonal (IPT), Cognitive Behavioural (CBT), Narrative, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused (SFBT), and Mindfulness-Based therapy frameworks while borrowing techniques from Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Therapy, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She is also trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma and the Gottman Method for couples.

Elizabeth brings her enthusiasm for life and exploration into her sessions. She understands that the realization of needing support, the act of seeking it, and the process of change can be extremely difficult. However, she believes that the therapeutic relationship can be a wonderful opportunity to reinvigorate curiosity; discover more about the world and the self; improve and transform our learned ways; and invite new perspectives. She looks to provide the safe, positive, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where this can happen.

Elizabeth can be contacted via email at Echoi@infinityhealthcentre.com for any questions or inquiries.
